Many residents will be aware that Balfour Beatty will be carrying out carriageway reconstruction works to the A2 coastbound carriageway (including some laybys and slip roads) between Boughton and Harbledown, near Canterbury, Kent on behalf of the Highways Agency. They will also be taking this opportunity to replace life expired and missing road markings and road studs, along with vegetation clearance and sign cleaning in order to minimise disruption to road users.
The work will take place, during weekends only, from Friday 3 October to Monday 1 December, weather permitting. The work will take place each weekend from 8pm Friday night, through to 6am Monday morning.
The bus services will continue to operate as usual but journeys from Faversham to Canterbury will go via the Thanet Way to Blean. Balfour Beatty are aware that these roadworks are complex and subject to change and so propose to have weekly updates of the work to let residents know as accurately as possible what is happening. Please sign up for these updates by emailing them at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling on 0845 6000414.
If you have any queries about the works or want to discuss them further, please do not hesitate to contact their Customer Care Line on 0845 6000414, or write to them at either email@example.com or Highways Agency, c/o Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald, 10 Kings Hill Avenue, Kings Hill, Kent, ME19 4AR.
