Over 300 years old and still lived in and run by the family that first built the house, Mount Ephraim is like the old Manor house of the Parish. It was the Dawes family that opened up Blean woods for the public and founded the Dawes Community Association which provides excellent childcare to this day.
The gardens are beautifully kept and there are few places around which offer such a great environment for a family walk and a picnic. Get yourself a season ticket – well worth the money. Recent years have seen a new maze and some pretty sturdy childrens play equipment as well as a trail of walks with clues to keep the kids guessing.
